“You snowflakes can’t do business anyway!”. Alma and her co-founders often heard this sentence when they set out with WEtell on the mission to revolutionize the mobile phone industry in the long term. Who is Alma? Alma Spribille combines her scientific experience from 12 years in solar cell research at Fraunhofer ISE with entrepreneurial practice to drive sustainable change in the economy. She is co-founder and CEO of the sustainable mobile phone provider WEtell, which shows that environmentalists can do business – and quite successfully at that. So much so that German Economy Minister Robert Habeck appointed her to the Advisory Board for SMEs in 2022. In addition, she has been a board member of the Federal Association for Sustainable Economy e.V. since 2021.
